After visiting with the Cubans in Miami for my cousin Jessica’s wedding, we decided to take a mini road-trip to Naples to catch some rays and have us little rest + relaxation.
It turned out to be one of my favorite ever beach vacations.
We stayed at the Edgewater Beach Hotel (which was super nice). Right on the beach, really well kept, great service. Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for the 4 of us (mom and dad came along).
What a cute little town. So well-kept. Lots of shopping and great restaurants to choose from on 5th Ave South and 3rd Street South.
We really liked Tulia (fabulous Italian) and Baleen, which has the most amazing beachside dining and sunset views.
Oh Naples, you are just so easy, beautiful, and relaxing.
The beach was gorgeous and had the clearest, most tranquil waters I have ever seen.
You could see fish swimming beside you and dolphins popping in and out of the water during our early morning walks.
Here’s a little video of a dolphin we saw one morning…
The pool was also fabulous – lots of shade available if desired, comfy chairs, water was clean and the temperature was aways just right.
The food at the hotel was also great. With food and drinks available inside, at Coast and poolside, at Pool Bar.
I could spend all day sitting surf-side, letting the waves wash over my toes.
I can’t wait to go back.
Naples…
it’s official, you are my new Happy Place 🙂
Oh – and check out this little National Geographic moment I captured titled “The Getaway”…
