BEA SINGS “IF I DIDN’T BELIEVE IN YOU” FROM THE MUSICAL ‘THE LAST FIVE YEARS’

I am a big fan of ‘The Last Five Years’ musical from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown. It tells the story of a couple’s romance in a really cool way: her story starts at the end of their relationship; his begins on the day they met.

This is one of the male character, Jamie’s, songs to Cathy. I wanted it to be a bit more unisex/universal, so I took out all of the times he says Cathy in the lyrics. (I also may have fudged a line or two – no one’s perfect, right?)

Here are some more songs from the show that I’ve recorded:

“See I’m Smiling” and “I’m Still Hurting”
